Today the 8th of July 2022, counsel to the Hon. Speaker and Governorship candidate of PDP in the forthcoming general election in Delta State filed a notice of Appeal against the judgment of the Federal High Court sitting at Abuja, delivered on 7th July 2022.
The counsel also filed an application for stay of execution and injunction pending Appeal, restraining the PDP and INEC from replacing or substituting the name with any other name pending the determination of the Appeal at the Court of Appeal.
With the above legal steps, the status quo is to be maintained and Hon. Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori remains the candidate of the PDP in the forthcoming coming governorship election in Delta State.
