Comrade Martins Uko, the Personal Assistant to the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, gave thanks to God, at the Living Faith Church Uti Effurun on the 31st December 2017, for leading him and his family through the year and most especially for his appointment as the Personal Assistant to the Rt. Hon. Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Chief Sheriff Oborevwori.
He said, “The Lord has been good to me and my family and to Him be all the Glory. I appreciate him for all he has done for us this year.
“I want to also use this opportunity to appreciate my Principal, Rt. Hon (Chief) Sheriff Oborevwori, who deemed it fit to appoint me as his Personal Assistant. God has used him to bless me and my family and God will surely continue to bless and protect him.”
Comrade Martins Uko also extended his goodwill to the children at the Heart of Delta Children’s Home, Warri. This he did immediately after the Thanksgiving Service.
“When God has blessed you, it is right to extend that blessing to others especially those who are in need. It is not how much you give but the heart that matters. And I am glad to be able to do this today. This is an extension of the goodwill of Mr. Speaker, my Principal. His office is ably represented here today,” he said.
He also wished the children and all well-wishers a Happy New Year.
