The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has called on Nigerians to pray for leaders across the Country and National peace.
Rt.Hon Oborevwori who made the call in his Eid-el-Fitr goodwill message to Muslims, implored Muslims to see the period as time to render selfless service to God and humanity.
According to him; “I want to wish all our Muslim brothers and sisters in Delta State, Nigeria and the world over a happy Eid-el-Fitr celebrations. I want to implore our Muslim faithful to show love to one another, make selfless sacrifice and tolerate each other. This period should be used for self examination “.
The Speaker added in his goodwill message that; ” Let this period also be used to pray for National peace and our leaders at all levels. Let us work collectively for the progress of our Country. We should continue to pray for peace and harmony in our nation, especially now that we are experiencing some challenges in our nation. I rejoice with all our Muslim brothers and sisters. May this occasion bring all of us the desired peace, joy and progress . Let us as a people learn from the sacrifice of Prophet Mohammed who stood for love and forgiveness”.
