OBOREVWORI CONGRATULATES OKOWA ON EMERGENCE AS DELTA GUBER FLAG BEARER
The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated the State Governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa on his emergence as the PDP Gubernatorial flag bearer.
Rt. Hon Oborevwori in a Press Release by his Chief Press Secretary, Dennis Otu in Asaba, on Monday, October 1, 2018, described the emergence of the Governor at the September 30, 2018 PDP Governorship primaries in Asaba, the State Capital as a welcome development.
According to the Speaker, the reaffirmation of the Governor at the just concluded PDP Governorship primaries in the state never came to him as a surprise, saying the Governor deserved it.
He said that; ” First and foremost, I want to Congratulate our dynamic Governor, Senator (Dr) Okowa for emerging as the PDP Gubernatorial flag bearer in the State. The Governor has done extremely well in the last three and half years and so it did not come as a surprise when he was returned unopposed at the PDP Governorship primaries in the state “.
” I want to use this medium to commend our delegates for their peaceful conduct during the primaries and to appeal to Deltans to continue to support the Governor and vote for him massively in the 2019 general elections. The Governor has performed beyond expectations and he will do more for the state when he is re-elected and so Deltans should do the needful by voting massively for the Governor next year “, the Speaker said.
