The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has urged members to ensure that two important Bills before the House are considered and passed on time. 

In his welcome address on resumption of Plenary on Wednesday after the long adjournment,  the Speaker reminded members that Legislative business for the 7th Assembly has commenced earnestly and there are already two important Bills receiving Legislative action before the House. 

He said that;  “I am excited to welcome you back to this Hallowed Chambers from the long adjournment. I hope you took advantage of the break  to visit your Constituents and have also settled down for the task ahead”.

“I wish to remind us that our Legislative business for this 7th Assembly has commenced earnestly and there are already two important bills receiving Legislative action before this House. For the sake of refreshing our minds these bills are; “A Bill For The Establishment of the Delta State Job and Wealth Creation Bureau And Other Matters Connected Thereto ” and ” A  Bill For A Law To Provide For The Management Of Funds Accruing To The  Delta State Judiciary From The Consolidated Revenue Fund Of Delta State To Ensure Accountability,  Transparency,  Effective  And Efficient Utilisation Of Funds  And  Other  Matters  Connected  Therewith”, the Speaker said. 

According to him;  “As a  House, we have always performed our duties diligently for the  common good of our people.  Therefore,  I urge that  we should endeavour to see that these  Bills are considered and passed on time”.

Rt.Hon Oborevwori   commended the   exemplary commitment and support of members  for the leadership of the House,   expressing  gratitude to them    for their  love and understanding.
