The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has implored Nigerians not to relent in their prayers for the country.

The Speaker in a press statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Dennis Otu to commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad, said that prayer was key to the numerous challenges facing the nation and implored Nigerians not to relent in their prayers.

Specifically, the Speaker called on Muslims and Christians not to give up in their prayers for the nation, saying that Nigerians must look unto God for solutions to the problems being faced by the country.

While saying that the birth of Prophet Mohammad should bring unity among Muslims and Christians in the country, the Speaker said that all hands must be on deck to tackle challenges in the country, particularly that of insecurity.

“I wish to felicilate with our Muslim brothers and sisters in the celebration of the Eid-el-Maulud and to call on them to use this occasion to pray for a peaceful, united and a better Nigeria. Let us continue to show love to one another so that we will continue to live as a united nation. We must not allow ourselves to be divided”, the Speaker said.
