The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, today, Wednesday, November 18, 2020, expressed appreciation to his colleagues for hosting him yesterday, Tuesday, November 17, 2020 on his recent election as the Deputy National Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria.
The Speaker said he was overwhelmed with the show of love by his Colleagues for celebrating his emergence as the Deputy National Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria.
He commended the Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Christopher Ochor Ochor for putting the ceremony together to honour him in his official residence.
According to the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Mr Dennis Otu, Majority Leader of the House, Hon Tim Owhefere had in his remarks on Tuesday evening, thanked the Deputy Speaker, Rt Hon Christopher Ochor Ochor for putting the ceremony together to honour the Speaker.
Hon Owhefere lauded the Speaker ” for putting the Delta State House of Assembly in order”, adding that; ” Members are happy with the Speaker for accountability and transparency. Mr Speaker, we are proud of you, continue your good work, we will continue to be on same page and congratulations once again on your well deserved election as the Deputy National Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria”.
The event was well attended by lawmakers in the state.
