The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, has described the death of the Ughelli North Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Hon Lawrence Uduvbordia Agbatutu as a big blow, saying he was a very courageous man.

Rt Hon Oborevwori who is also the National Deputy Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of state legislatures of Nigeria, on a condolence visit to immediate family of the deceased in Agbarho, Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state on Thursday, December 2nd, 2021, said his death was one too many.

He said; “His death is a very sad one, but we cannot question God on his untimely demise . He was a very courageous man. He was a very good man. He was trust worthy and a man of integrity and I must say that his demise is a big blow to us. It has happened and I am here today to commiserate with his family, the PDP, Agbarho people and the people of Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state generally. We should all be comforted for the fulfilled life he lived and may God grant him eternal rest”.

The Leader of Agbarho Kingdom PDP Ward 1,Chief Felix Ofurhie Iyara, said that; “It is a very sad thing that happened to us He lived a good life. It is very painful. We are very glad to receive you here today that you made out time to visit us despite your tight schedule. People are saying good things about you and I want to implore you to keep up your good work”.

On his part, Hon. Chief Gabriel Ojoba, Agbarho Kingdom Ward 2 PDP Leader, said that; “We want to sincerely thank you for this condolence visit. Your visit meant so much to us and it has helped to remove some bitter pills from our hearts. We appreciate your good office”.

Chief Andrew Agbatutu, Hon Solo Okotie (Agbarho Kingdom PDP Youth Leader and Mrs Blessing Precious Orienvwen ( PDP Woman Leader in the area) were on ground to receive the Speaker and his entourage.
